February is the perfect month to show some love in your home!

It’s the time of year when most people are sick and tired of winter! The gray skies, the chilly and damp weather … if you’re like us, you’re ready for some springtime sunshine. But, there are definitely things to love about February, like spending a little extra time on home decor, trying new recipes, and making a few treats and crafts with the family to help winter go by faster!

If you’re looking for ways to keep the kids from going crazy from being cooped up indoors, try making homemade cookies together. We like these conversation heart cookies.

Show off all your culinary hard work with a gorgeous tablescape! It’s easier than you think! Pull out the fancy china you’re always waiting to use for “occasions,” add candles and check out some special extras you can find at your local grocery store, like:

  • Flowers

  • Foil balloons

  • Candles

  • Paper doilies

And don’t be afraid to get creative! Toss candy hearts on your table runner like sweet confetti. Let your kids’ homemade Valentines take center stage as place cards. Don’t stop with pink and red … add a pop of something unexpected, like lavender or blue.

Pro tip: rekindle your romance by busting out that fondue set Aunt Bea got you for your wedding! A little melted chocolate, some strawberries, soft music to set the mood … you’ll forget all about the weather outside.
